That is correct, we are now part of librehosters.
The community itself defines the librehosters as “a network of cooperation and solidarity that uses free software to encourage decentralization through federation and distributed platforms. Our values connect transparency, fairness and privacy with a culture of data portability and public contributions to the commons.”
As a collective sharing the same principles and goals we couldn’t be happier to announce that starting from 10 May’20 we have officially joined the Librehosters network, an international network of online service providers who share common values. This development means that we are quite excited to be part of a bigger network of people who are heavily supporting the free software movement and decentralization. We think the network is a great place for hosters to gather, discuss on common challenges share knowledge and learn from each other.
As service providers, we facilitate our partners by providing them with open source software solutions, which are developed and maintained by third parties (companies, organizations and communities). This means that we do not have a say in the development efforts of these entities, but by joining efforts with the hosters community we might be more empowered to address issues if they arise. By working together we can make free software even more reliable.
To learn more and interact with the community, the best place to start is talk.libreho.st where you will find already an ongoing discussion. The library of all the current members can be found here: directory.libreho.st.
Let’s make libre and ethical hosting the standard for digital infrastructure for individuals, SMEs and organizations around the world!
